Requesting a new mail order prescription

To request a new maintenance medication through Cornerstone Health Solutions (CHS) Mail Order Pharmacy, you can

  • Have your doctor submit your prescription using e-Prescribe – Doctors can write prescriptions electronically using e-Prescribe.

Filling your prescription

Typically, your prescription will be filled, mailed and received within 3 business days of receipt by Cornerstone Health Solutions (CHS) Mail Order Pharmacy. In the event that there is a problem with your prescription that may delay mailing, you will be contacted.

Before we fill your prescription, we need to set up your payment information. We offer two convenient ways to pay for your mail order prescriptions; credit card, or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) debit card. The collection of your payment information is a one-time process; however, you will have to contact the pharmacy again if it changes. How to request a refill of your mail order prescription

If you currently use the BMC Mail Order Pharmacies and have refills, CHS can transfer your prescription refill information to the Cornerstone Health Solutions Mail Order Pharmacy, call Cornerstone Health Solutions (CHS) Mail Order Pharmacy at 1-844-319-7588 to request transfer.

If you currently use an outside pharmacy, call Cornerstone Health Solutions (CHS) Mail Order Pharmacy and provide the phone number of the pharmacy where you currently have your prescriptions filled. We will complete the transfer for you.

Keep your contact and payment information current!

You can update this information by calling the pharmacy. It is very important that you keep the mail order pharmacy informed as soon as you have a change of address or phone number. Please be sure to provide a phone number where you can be reached by the pharmacy staff. Also, if you pay by credit card, it is very important that you notify the mail order pharmacy if there is any change to the credit card you prefer to use for billing. Not updating any of this information may cause a delay with you receiving your medication.

We will send an e-mail when your prescription has been shipped, if we have an e-mail address on file. This email contains the tracking number so you can check where it is in the mailing process. If you are expecting a prescription and you have not received any email notification 2 to 3 business days after expecting one, please call the pharmacy. This is done to keep you informed so please be sure to provide an email address you regularly check.

Allow plenty of time!

Here at the mail order pharmacy we do understand that you are busy. However, we ask that you please allow us time to process your prescription correctly and send it through the mail. Contact the pharmacy the first time you notice you are running low on your medication. Most prescriptions can be filled up to 10 to 14 days before you run out of your current supply. Even if you think it's too soon, request your refill anyway. The pharmacy staff will handle processing and mailing the prescription when it becomes due. Cornerstone Health Solutions mail order pharmacy Automatic-Refill program provides customers with a fast and easy way to make sure that medications are received in a timely manner. This program allows customers to have prescriptions automatically refilled and mailed out without submitting a refill request. This ensures that you receive the medication before you run out of your current supply.

For other customers, to sign up for Automatic Refills. We can automatically fill prescriptions if your insurance allows and copays are paid by your credit card on file. Please call and speak to a pharmacy staff member to set up automatic refills if you are interested.

Refill prescriptions will be mailed to the address previously used, unless otherwise stated. We will contact you before mailing your prescription to confirm the address.

Can I fax my prescription to CHS Mail Order Pharmacy?

No. Patients are prohibited by law to fax their prescriptions to the pharmacy. However, your doctor/nurse may fax your prescriptions to the pharmacy.

I started a new medication and filled it at a local pharmacy. How do I get my prescription filled through CHS Mail Order Pharmacy now as a 90-day maintenance medication?

If the prescription was authorized by your doctor for 90-day supply, please contact CHS Mail Order pharmacy, 1-844-319-7588, and provide the local pharmacy phone number to CHS Mail Order Pharmacy staff. We will transfer the prescription to CHS Mail Order Pharmacy and fill it for you.

If the prescription was not written for 90-day supply, please ask your doctor/nurse to write a new prescription for 90-day supply and send it to CHS Mail Order Pharmacy.

Note: We will fill 90-day supply if your insurance plan allows.

I am currently using a controlled medication; can I get a 90-day supply mailed?

If you and your physician agree that a 90-day supply of a controlled medication is safe for you, it can be filled and mailed to you from the CHS Mail Order pharmacy if allowed by state law.

Important Note: All mailed controlled medications require an adult signature at the time of delivery.

Will I be contacted if there are delays with the processing my prescription?

Yes; every attempt will be made to contact you when problems arise that prevent us from filling your medication(s) quickly. So, it is extremely important that you have working phone numbers and email addresses on file at the pharmacy.

What is a maintenance medication?

A maintenance medication is one that your doctor has prescribed for you to treat a long-term, chronic condition such as high blood pressure, high blood sugar levels or diabetes, and high cholesterol.

A medication is considered maintenance medication if you have been taking it at the same strength and dose for over 60-days.

Examples: amlodipine, hydrochlorothiazide, carvedilol, lisinopril, metformin, glipizide, insulin, atorvastatin, simvastatin, oral contraceptives, paroxetine, duloxetine.
